Booking & Deposit

By placing a booking with us you and your booking party agree to the following terms and conditions as set-out. During your stay you agree to abide by the subsequent conditions as set-out. If you have any questions about booking with us, please contact us before making a booking. To place a booking with us the lead guest must be at least 18 years of age. The maximum number of staying guests per room is illustrated in the room occupancy details on the website. Where the person making the booking is different to the lead guest taking up the occupation, the person making the booking may be held responsible for cancellation, non-arrival and damages as set out within. Only the lead guest and the named booking party are allowed to use the property and its facilities, any third-party visitors are only allowed access at our express permission. To secure any booking we require a deposit to be paid 2 days before arrival. Deposit payments must be ‘cleared funds’ before a booking can be confirmed. Deposits are only refundable under the conditions set out here within. Payments can be made online / over the phone using debit / credit card as well as by digital bank transfer, or cash deposit. Any charges raised against us by our banks for handling bank transfers or any other payments, must be reimbursed by the lead guest within seven (7) days of any request to do so. All guests agree to respect the privacy and peace of all other staying guests, neighbours and the owners at all times. We reserve the right to cancel a booking with immediate effect if guests are not honouring this agreement or causing a disturbance / nuisance to other guests, neighbours or the owners.


Third-party bookings

Our prices are nett rate and final. If you are a booking agent, online travel agent, and/or third party representative, you agree that by making a booking with us you accept that any prices we provide to you at the time of booking, when you book online, via phone, email or via any platform is final and does NOT include any fees of any kind such as commission payable to you or your agency. You also agree that a valid credit card is required to confirm any booking request, and all bookings are payable within 48hrs before guest check-in.


Check-in & Check-out

Check-in: 02:00 PM and before 08:00 PM on day of arrival.

Check-out: 10:00 AM on day of departure.

Any check-in after 08:00 PM must be arranged in advance and only prior to manager’s approval. Any check-in or use of intercom to gain access inside the property after 11:00 PM will incur $20 fee.


Cancellation, Returned Deposit & Non-Arrival Conditions

Guest who needs to cancel a booking should contact us as soon as possible. Deposits already paid are only returned in accordance with the following conditions: Cancellation made 2 days or more in advance of arrival date = Full deposit refund. Cancellation made 48hrs or less of arrival date = No refund issued, full amount of booking due. Non-arrival guests, who are unable to attend or fail to attend for whatever reason forfeit their deposit paid and the full amount of the booking will be due. It is suggested that booking guests take out appropriate holiday / cancellation insurance where required. In the rare event we need to cancel your booking with us, please be aware that we cannot be held liable for circumstances beyond our control and that our liability to you is limited to the refund of any payment already made.

WIFI Fair & Appropriate Usage Policy

Where Wi-Fi Internet access is provided, guests accept to use this access to the Internet fairly and appropriately. We may monitor network performance and user usage in order to maintain a fair and high level of service to all our guests. The Internet access provided is intended for general use such as access to the world wide web, email, messaging, social media, light video / music / media streaming. It is not intended or ideally suited for heavy media streaming, online gaming, extensive downloads / uploads. Access to illegal activity or use of our network for illegal activity is prohibited and will be reported to local authorities.


Complimentary Tea/Coffee Maker

Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar & milk are provided in every room. It is your responsibility to wash the cups/glasses in your room should you wish to reuse them during your stay. Please return any barrowed utensils from the café. Please do not take the our kettles/mugs out of your room.

Use of Common Area

Access to shared kitchen is from 07:00 AM to 07:00 PM only. We have a strict clean-as-you go policy to maintain the cleanliness in every corner of the property. Please turn off any electrical appliances after use. Drinking any alcoholic substances is not permitted anywhere in the communal area. Fines may apply.

Access to on-site swimming pool is from 07:00 AM to 07:00 PM. Children 17 y/o and under should be supervised by an adult parents/guardian at all times. Please ask the staff if you need pool towels.


Damages & Lost Property

We reserve the right to charge the lead guest for any damages caused through the course of a booking by any member of the booking party. This includes breakages, spillages, and stains, bedwetting, damage to furniture or fixtures and fittings. Cleaning fee for single size mattress is minimum of $100 and $150 for Queen mattress – and will be charged to the main guest. Carpet and upholstery minimum cleaning fee is $150. We also provide make up removers, and tea towels in each room. Please do not use towels / face washers as rags. We tried our best to keep them in their best condition. Any permanent stain on towels, and face washers will be charged as follows: $20 for towel and $5 for face washers, and you are free to keep the stained item. Any accidental damages should be reported as soon as possible in order to minimise damage and associated costs. Charges will be advised after the management assessed the damage/s. Lost keys (room & gate) will incur a replacement charge of $50. Taking any motel property, such as hair dryer, remotes, etc is strictly prohibited. We reserved the right to charge the main guest to equivalent amount of the item taken if note returned on agreed time.

Any lost property, if discovered and found, left behind by guests during a stay will be held for a period of 45days. While we will make our best efforts to reunite lost property with their owners, we accept no responsibility in replacing lost items and encourage guests to ensure they have all their belonging before checking out. We may offer to post lost items via recorded delivery at the cost of the property owner, otherwise collection can be arranged.


Smoking of any sort including, but not limited to cigarettes, pipes, cigars, Vaporisers & Electronic Cigarettes, is only allowed in designated areas as sign posted throughout the accommodation. Fines and cleaning fees apply.



We do not accept pets throughout the accommodation.



Where on-site parking is provided guests accept that they park their vehicles at their own risk. Parking is free but availability is not guaranteed.


Housekeeping & Linen/Towel change

Housekeeping is from 9:30 to 11:30 AM. If you want your bed made, please hang the door sign and vacate your room during these hours. Please be reminded that motel staff will try to empty the bins in each room every day to prevent unpleasant smell inside – even if you hang the “Do Not Disturb Sign.” Please notify us if you wish to empty your bins yourself. The Do not Disturb sign, will be disregarded after 48hrs as we must enter and check the room. For long stay guests, we change the linen every 4th night and towels every 2nd or when requested.



All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult such as a parent, stepparent, guardian or other adult who has parental rights and responsibilities for the under 18-year-old guest.



Childers Oasis Motel is not responsible for any loss arising out of any occurrences or conditions beyond its control, including but not limited to acts of terrorism, act of God, defects in vehicles, war, strikes, theft, delay, cancellation, civil disorder, disaster, Government regulations or changes in itinerary or schedule. All travel documents, observance of laws and government regulations are your responsibility.



You consent and authorize Childers Oasis Motel to collect, use and disclose your personal information for the purposes of administering your booking and providing you with any services associated with your booking. Childers Oasis Motel will not provide or disclose any information you have provided without your prior written consent. Upon request by you and to the extent permitted or required by law, Childers Oasis Motel will provide you with access to and/or the ability to correct your personal information however only the person who made the booking will be entitled to access and/or correct personal information pertaining to that booking.


Our Right to Cancellation

We reserve the right to cancel any booking without compensation, refund or reimbursement if the terms of these conditions are breached.



The Terms and Conditions are governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Queensland, Australia.
